  1. Can't imagine what it must be like to have your loved one deployed, and furthermore, to continue life in a normal way with others. It must be very hard indeed. What exactly do you do in that time, apart from thinking of where he is and what he's doing?

  2. Good morning Rum-Punch Drunk,

First of all, thank you for leaving your comment. I wanted you to know that it is very hard deployment after deployment. Staying busy is the key. My husband has been in the Navy for 22 years so trust me...I had to learn the hard way (smile).
I try to be involved in the command with other wives. Because I am older and have been through so many I try to help out the younger wives. If they are new to the command I will show them around and introduce them to other wives. Sometimes we babysit for each other and help each other when cars break down or when a wife gets sick....
I try not to focus on the dangers that I know he has to endure...That will only drive you crazy...Try to focus your time and energy on all the positive things that are surrounding you back home. Worry will only drive you bananas....

Thanks again for sharing your comment and reading my blog http://mycrazylifeasanavywife.blogspot.com/2012/04/brace-yourselfits-deployment-time-again.html

    Have a wonderful Day!!

  3. Its really tough, but we have learned in our house to talk about the deployment before and during that time...We encourage our kids to discuss their feelings and we ALWAYS spend as much time as we can TOGETHER...God bless you all!!
