                     GETTING READY FOR ANOTHER SCHOOL YEAR Can you believe its August already? It’s that time of year again..Its time to get the kids ready mentally and physically to make the transition from playing video games all summer to paying attention in class. GOOD LUCK parents. (smile) The beginning of the school year is a special time at our house. Mainly because each one of our children has their own idea of how the year is going to play out..... I LAUGH OUT LOUD. How quickly that will change. New friends, new teachers and to make matters worse, this year we are at a new duty station. This is added anxiety. Or maybe I should say it COULD BE added anxiety.. . It is important to get the kids prepared for this new school year. It begins with the parents having a positive attitude and calming the kids so that they will approach this new school year with no reservations. My DEFINITION of humility is letting go of everything that is of myself and living for the glory of God alone...With each passing year I learn a little bit more about myself..... This year my lesson was a powerful one...it was a lesson on how to become more HUMBLE... To strive to WALK HUMBLY in all aspects of my life. To begin, I would first like to say how happy I am with my life here in Florida.... I am waking up with my husband everyday and having the ability to have time for meditation and prayer has changed my life significantly. During my meditation I have learned to become humble. Today I celebrate my 43rd birthday here in Florida .. Happy Birthday to my beautiful, intelligent and phenomenal daughter Lyric Campbell who started walking at the age of 10 months and she has not stopped moving yet! This beautiful "young woman" is going into the 10th grade and turns 15 years old today. I can hardly believe my baby girl is growing so fast. She amazes me everyday with her intelligence and her sparkling personality... She has given us so much joy and I am reminded of how precious our time with her is. I would always focus on the WHAT IFS instead of focusing on all the things that I KNOW.
