                                   HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME 



Welcome back to my blog. So glad that you could join me here once again. Its my birthday and I have never been happier. There are a LOT of things that I could be sad about because I can NOT DO...Instead I CHOOSE to be happy about all the things that I CAN DO. Thank you God for waking me up this morning and giving me another day to serve you.

I feel so grateful and I PRAY that when you read this blog post today it will make you feel a little better than you did before. Maybe you are about to celebrate a birthday. No matter what age you are, BE GRATEFUL that you are STILL here making memories. I started my 45th birthday off in prayer to God. This is my favorite part of the day. My alone time with God is special to me. After praying, I drank my coffee and wrote some devotionals  in my journal. Even before my husband Patrick woke up, I could feel the wheels turning in his head (Smile) I just knew that today was going to be a very SPECIAL day for me.

My knee started hurting but I still went for my calming walk here in the neighborhood. I had a small breakfast and a HEARTFELT phone call from one of my oldest and dearest friends. I thank you Father for the FRIENDS you have placed in my life. What a day! As you can see, My birthday was off to a great start. I got cards from my kids that made me cry. A call from my oldest son Elijah and look, more crying!

The highlight of my day was the loving and caring birthday tribute from my husband Patrick. He had a wonderful surprise prepared for me and believe it or not, I cried once again! He surprised me by taking me to pick out a new pair of glasses. YES New glasses. I was just so excited that I could not contain myself. That's right, No diamonds, no new car, simply a new pair of COACH glasses that I wanted.He must of been watching me, Because I have had my eyes on those frames now for a couple of months.

I guess my husband Patrick knows me better than I know myself sometimes. Its funny, I did not buy the glasses for myself because I felt as though it was way to much money for a simple pair of glasses. Between you and me, I LOVE them.

I guess nothing about me is simple (Smile) My specific Progressive lenses are NOT CHEAP and the frames are way more than I would have spent. But my dear husband saw my face when I looked at those lenses and he knew he had to get them for me. Thank  you so much! I love them and I love you.

Like I said, It was a great day and everyone I love was a part of my day. I loved turning 45 surrounded by my children, my husband and the PEACE that only GOD gives me. My heart is so full right now, That is all I can say. I am a simple girl and I feel so blessed on every level in my life. I PRAY that you are experiencing that same peaceful feeling as well. I will be praying for you.
