GOING BACK TO BASICS IN YOUR MARRIAGE

I am praying that all of you are experiencing The joy of the Lord this morning. I wanted to talk today about seasons of difficulty in your marriage. Is there anybody out there that is going through a difficult time? If you are, you are NOT alone. We all have experienced massive road blocks in our relationship. The question is, What are going to do to make things better.

No matter how difficult your marriage is right now, things can always get better. You are not enemies and your behavior should exemplify that. Go back to basics and start back doing the same things that made you fall in love in the first place. (SIMPLE ENOUGH RIGHT)

As a couple you have to work TOGETHER to REBUILD and to RESTORE all things that have fallen apart. You have to want your marriage to work. YES, its the only way. You have to be willing to do all that is necessary to make your marriage stronger. As long as the two of you have a positive attitude things will eventually fall into place. Again, you simply have to go back to basics.

I can not stress enough the importance of all of these items. I find these items to be useful as I apply them to my everyday life with my Navy husband Patrick. We have been married for 22 years and use these principles in our own marriage. I just want to take a minute to say Thank you Father for my marriage and our relationship with you. We love you.

Do you work together with your spouse in making your relationship stronger? What ever you do, Don't give up on each other. Your marriage is always worth fighting for! God knows what he is doing. Remember that.

Do you pray with your spouse? This is another integral part of making your marriage stronger. I pray that God will direct your steps in this matter. Its one of the most important relationships that you will ever have. With that being said, Do the work necessary to save your marriage. The success here is in the details. Don't stop sharing, caring and loving your spouse.

Are you ready to make a change? I encourage you to take the steps necessary to have a strong and loving relationship with your spouse. If you fail at first, try again. Until then, I will be praying for you.
