All you need is a LIBRARY CARD.......





I am so excited about my recent trip to the Library. I went to get a library card and it was an amazing experience. I remember back when I was growing up in Chicago, I spent lots of my time reading at the Library. I would spend countless hours with my head in a book.

Today kids constantly use their phones to access the Internet and spend less and less time actually reading books. I guess I am just old school and prefer reading an actual book over a e-book.
I don't have any small children anymore, but when my kids were smaller I took them on trips to the Library. I made it exciting and they really loved it. I believed back then that taking my kids to the Library would be a way to spend time with them. Also, they would be encouraged to read. And with so many books, their choices would be unlimited.

I am so grateful that I exposed my three children to books and how their imagination could fly while reading. It was a great way for me as their mother, to introduce them to a life long love of literacy. How about you? Do you have small children, and if so, How do you introduce your children to a world of literacy?








My goal today was to get a library card. I did! Now I am ready once again to bring my love of reading back. And oh yeah, It did not cost me a thing. It was absolutely FREE. That's right, it was free. That is a great incentive for you to get one today. From today's trip, I learned that most of the services offered at Libraries are at low costs and many are absolutely free.









So what are you waiting for? Go visit your nearest Library because all you need is a Library card.
