REAL LIFE RELATIONSHIPS

Recently I have returned to all my Social Media outlets after a much needed purge and fast. My life was falling apart and everyone around me needed advice and support. I was pulled in more directions than was physically possible. I needed to go back to basics and pull myself together. I decided to see what more productive and more meaningful things I could do during my recovery. I decided to fill my time off social media in prayer instead of scrolling. Each morning I would write an encouraging note for each of my three kids. I spent extra time in prayer, walked whenever I could, and made time to read the bible each day.

I have taught myself once again how to have REAL LIFE relationships outside of social media. I have changed my phone and no longer receive so many of those pesky notifications.

I am now more present and can spend time with all the people that I care about. What about you? Does this story sound familiar? If so, I would love to hear from you. Share your thoughts or comments they just might help someone. Today why not take a short walk and admire all the beauty in front of you. Make a lunch date with a friend and ask how he/she is doing. Connect once again and find a healthy balance of real life relationships and social media.

I felt God’s presence and peace
so much in doing this.

The blessings of unplugging from social media was necessary for me to find my bearings and reconnect with God.

It was such a good reminder of concepts that had always been easy for me to grasp, but simply hard for me to implement. Praying was necessary to guide me and for me to make the right decisions. Unplugging completely from social media is not for everyone but it was necessary for me to find a healthy balance that worked for me and my own family. I tell you, God’s grace is the only thing that kept me focused and kept my daily life in order. My prayer is that whatever God’s will, he will guide you in making the right decision. Have a peaceful day.

  1. Hello and thanks for stopping by once again. We all need reminders and today's blog post was weighing heavily on my heart. I received so many emails concerning this subject alone. My best advice is to pray that God will give all the tools you need. You have to rely on the fullness of the love of Christ. If we grasp the full love of Christ, we won’t grab at other things to fill us.Thank you father. God Bless you all.
