I am so thankful for the LEGACY that my grandmother Bernice Booker left for all of her family!

I am so thankful for my beautiful grandmother Bernice Booker. I feel so blessed that at least one of my three children was able to meet her and feel her love. My oldest son Elijah got to see her every single day. Each her biscuits, listen to her sing and feel her loving embrace. What a blessing it was to witness her love for my son Elijah. She was such a bright light and a great story teller. Her influence and her love for her kids, grand-kids and great-grand-kids has lasted to this day.

As a young girl, I remember hearing her sing angelic hymns. As a teenager I remember her stern warning about respecting authority and self-worth. As a young, inexperienced mother, I remember sitting with her as she read her Bible to me and prayed for me and my son Elijah. I cry thinking of those times. I miss her, especially today!

I love her so much to this day. I miss her with all of my heart. She was one of a kind. Although she was called home, her love and her presence has never faded away. All three of my kids know her because I have constantly shared her legacy with each of them. I smile because I know that I will see her again.

Today I celebrate her birthday and all the wonderful memories that she has given me. When I close my eyes sometimes I can almost hear her beautiful voice. I can hear her prayers softly in the distance. In those moments I feel really close to her. She is always there when I pray and I will never forget her. I thank God for the time I had with her. God knew just what I needed this morning to get through such a difficult day of missing her...What a joy! Our God is complete perfection.
Thankful for my 3 kids that inspire and encourage me on a daily basis. I am so proud that God chose me to be their mother.

After the passing of my grandmother, I experienced the pain of losing her. God spoke to my heart and said that there's nothing that is broken and shattered that God cannot put back together again..."only God can do it". May the Grace of God continue to be with each of you.
