I will raise my son in a way that glorifies God! I am so proud of my youngest son Patrick. He has grown up so much this year. He has become a man right before my eyes. Yes, He is a man. He is now 18 years old and our discussions have now reached a new level. Tough being a single parent. It is times like today that I have to pick my words clearly and make sure he understands my every word. He is at a tender age where he has to to learn to respect women. I have always taught him this, but now at this age it is time to have a refresher conversation. (Smile) I believe as his mother, It is my job to show him how to treat women. Patrick has never given me any reason to doubt that he already understands this concept but I have to continuously show and talk about these important issues. Don't you agree?

I am committed to raising all 3 of my kids as well as I can. I am doing the best that I can as a single parent. I am sure to make mistakes but this one is way to important to fail at. With the help of God, I am desperately trying to raise my children to be beautiful human beings and powerful men and women who understand how magnificent women are. My sons Patrick and Elijah need to respect women and my daughter Lyric has to know her worth as early as possible. I believe that all women, all over the world, are beautiful, whole and powerful. They should be honored and respected. Those are the subjects that my son Patrick and I discussed today. Boy was I nervous. I do believe that we had such a great talk. Thanking God for this amazing kid that listened intently and asked intelligent questions. It made me proud to share this moment in time with him.

I pray each day that I am raising all three of my children in a way that glorifies God. As parents we must continue to raise our children to respect ALL people. We must continue to lift each other up, believe in ourselves and not hold back from this truth. What about you, Are you having these discussions with your own kids?
