A letter to my son Patrick as he heads to College!

MY CRAZY LIFE BLOG 2018

As you know, I had to wave goodbye to my baby boy last weekend. I waved to him as he headed into his destiny. He is now enrolled at FSU in Tallahassee. He starts the summer bridge program and I am so proud of him. I decided to write him a letter before I left to head back.

To my youngest son Patrick,

Son, as you walk up to your dorm room for the first time: Take this time to savor every drop of life you can.
Be humble, be kind and keep that room clean. Meet new people and whenever possible visit new places. Make great memories son and keep jamming on your Trumpet. Never change who you are and let your personality rule.
Remember that you have all of us here rooting for your success and God is there with you during this journey. Believe in who you are and what you're capable of. You are a winner, a leader and ANYTHING is possible.
Once you believe that the God you serve is capable of anything and with him all things are possible nothing else can stop you my son. …

Happy Father's Day to a man that stood in the gap!

MY CRAZY LIFE BLOG 2018

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog. So glad that you chose to join me here once again. I wanted to talk today about my Paul. This is a wonderful man that I am in a committed relationship with. Every since my divorce, he has stepped in and become a father to my kids. He has mentored to them, he has loved them and he is always there for them.

MY CRAZY LIFE BLOG 2018

I realized rather quickly after the divorce that, I was going to have to be both mother and father to my three kids. When Paul came into my life he loved and cared for them as if they were his own. Today on Father's day I am grateful for this wonderful man that loves his own children and loves mine just as much. He knows that the true meaning of fatherhood isn’t what the world thinks of you but what your children feel about your role as their father and the love that they receive from you. This man is truly a gift from God and I adore him. He is not concerned about what people think only how…

Thank you Heavenly Father for my baby boy Patrick. He has a future that is destined for greatness and its all because of you!

So proud of my youngest son Patrick. He graduated with great grades, he volunteers and he plays his trumpet. Now because of his hard work, he is headed to college. One of the things I'm the proudest and happiest about is Patrick getting into FSU Music Program. He is so dedicated and he always makes practicing a priority.

Now he is heading to college and he will hit a new stage with new people. He now has this unique opportunity to show what he has worked so hard for and his passion for Jazz. Thankful for this great kid, lots of amazing friends and the gift of prayer. Praying has always been a big part of my sons life and we will continue to pray for him as he embarks into this new chapter in his life.

Hello all and welcome back to my blog. I am so glad that you stopped by today. I have a house full of company and I have a pile of laundry and dishes calling my name. Instead of doing laundry and dishes, I decided to write a quick blog post about my day (Smile) Talk about procrastination!

Its a beautiful Saturday afternoon here in Jacksonville. I have lots of empty bottles in my backyard and trash that needs to be emptied. I look around and the memories begin to flood in. We played cards, watched movies and laughed to the wee hours of the morning. To me, this trash is worth it. My daughter Lyric is working on her hair in the bathroom, Baby Patrick is still asleep and Elijah is working on his bicycle.
