I LOVE BOWLING WITH THE KIDS MY SON PATRICK BOWLING 2014 I LOVE TO BOWL WITH THE KIDS. Now I am going to be honest with you. I am not the best bowler, but that really does not matter when FUN is on the menu. OK So let me re-word that. It really does not matter to me, (Smile) But these kids are beasts and down right competitive. They are so competitive in fact, that they DID NOT  give this old lady a break. Not at all! NICE CLEAN BOWLING ALLEY 2014 I am not great at many sports and bowling is no exception. BUT the time that I got to spend with Patrick and Lyric Laughing and talking was time well spent. Having time alone with my two youngest kids ALWAYS PUTS A SMILE ON MY FACE. Thank you Father for blessing me with such wonderful kids.                    We always make a day out of bowling.  MY DAUGHTER LYRIC BOWLING 2014 There are lots of bowling centers here in the Jacksonville area, but I chose to tr

MY DAUGHTER LYRIC 2013 MY DAUGHTER LYRIC MAKES ME PROUD  My daughter Lyric was recently inducted into the NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY. Since we moved back to the states, she has worked extremely hard in school and helping out in the community. It really makes me proud to see her develop into a young woman. At the age of 16 she is constantly shocking me with everything she touches. She has always been shy and reserved so we were shocked to see how she has unleashed her sparkling personality.  ME AND MY DAUGHTER LYRIC                           PROUD MAMA                       PROUD MAMA MY HUSBAND PATRICK, MY DAUGHTER LYRIC AND THAT'S ME ON THE RIGHT                    PROUD PAPA                                      PROUD PAPA         IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR HER.....SHE IS EITHER READING A BOOK OR DOING HOMEWORK.......  This is her junior year in high school and since she has so many AP classes, I really was not sure how she would do. You see, Ly

Why do we find it so difficult to trust in God?

Image
I ASK MYSELF THIS ALL THE TIME   Why do we find it so difficult to trust in God? I have been holding on to this message today more than ever. It is good to evaluate things when needed. Especially as I get older. I find myself asking more questions than ever before. I have a lot going on right now and I am being pulled in so many directions. ....I can't even begin to say all that is weighing down on my family at this moment. I find it difficult to breathe but clinging to Christ through it all. Before you ask, YES, I am praying and I am asking God for guidance.  Do you have a lot weighing you down today?                                      What do you do to eliminate the pressure? Do you trust in God or try to handle it all by yourself? OK, be honest! I cannot tell you how many times these prayers have helped me to push through some very impossible times I know that he has a plan, so I have learned to put my full trust in him. How about you?

Today As you go about your day…..Try not to JUDGE…

Today As you go about your day…..Try not to JUDGE…  Good morning everyone. I pray that today is a good day for you and your family. When I woke up this moment, I stopped and said, THANK YOU FATHER. I am always conscious of the fact that tomorrow is not promised and everything you have can be gone in an instant. I try everyday to remember that. There are so many homeless people here in the Jacksonville area. More than I ever could remember growing up in Chicago. Recently my daughter Lyric and I headed to my favorite Seafood place for dinner. We were laughing about something silly when we spotted a young couple outside of the restaurant.  I was thinking they looked so young to be in their position. that is when the young man said hello to us. The young woman asked if I was able to spare some change. I explained to her that I did not have any cash on me.  ( I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE THINKING! Lashon was lying to them.) I stand before you today that I was telling the truth.

REMAIN CALM, its time for my daughter to drive

TIME TO TEACH MY DAUGHTER LYRIC HOW TO DRIVE Growing up in Chicago we had the luxury of Driver's Education in the Public schools. It was useful on so many levels and eased the anxiety of many parents. Well, at least my nervous parents. (Smile) We now live in the beautiful state of Florida and my daughter's school DOES NOT offer driver's Education. WHAT? No Driver's Education? What am I to do? I decided that I would teach my daughter myself. Easy as 123 right? WRONG!!! MY DAUGHTER LYRIC 15 YEARS OLD I decided to teach her the basics first and so we started driving in a parking lot. It was here that I realized that my daughter was smarter than I was. WAIT, don't tell her I said that! She was like a sponge and took to the road really well. There are lots of areas that we are still working on but now she has her Learner's permit and the sky is the limit.  TOUGH TO HAND OVER THOSE KEYS PATIENCE
