           EVERYONE LOVES TO SHOP The day after Thanksgiving is the "official" start of the holiday shopping season. Its a day filled with stores having ridiculous prices and hundreds of thousands of people pushing shoving and grabbing merchandise. I CAN HARDLY WAIT TO BE A PART OF IT GET READY FOR THE LONG LINES, SCREAMING AND ELBOWING....JUST TO GET THAT FAVORITE TOY THAT YOUR CHILD HAS BEEN LONGING FOR. Seriously, this is going to be a easy shopping list. I am trying to find 2 electronic devices for the kids and It is imperative that I get them for the cheapest price that I can. It is really hard for a frugal shopper like me to pay full price for anything but this is the Friday that I make a list and stick to it. HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO THE TROOPS I want to say Happy Thanksgiving to all of our troops serving overseas and those who are currently deployed... I extend my hand this morning and I say  THANK YOU for your sacrifice and to honor you...... I am thankful that my husband Patrick is home for this Thanksgiving...But there are so many of my friends whose husbands are away. I choose to celebrate Thanksgiving everyday of the year... So I say thank you today for all of our military that may be away from their families..to the wives who are here alone struggling trying to juggle everything we say thank you for keeping things together at home. MY HUSBAND AND I AT THE MARINE CORPS BALL I recently attended the Marine Corps birthday ball here in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Tickets for this celebration were hard to come by and they sold out pretty quickly. Luckily we were able to obtain 2 tickets and join our friends for the celebration. There were great speakers and the food, music and decorations were spectacular. MY SON PATRICK DANCING My youngest son Patrick is 11 years old. From the moment he learned to walk, he always added a extra dance move in between. Whenever music would start to play he would drop whatever was in his hand and commence to BUSTING A DANCE MOVE. Now all these years later, he is still entertaining us all with his dance moves. My baby is now developing friendships finding other interests and playing sports, but he always finds time to dance for his mother. LOOK AT THOSE DANCE MOVES I always say that our kids grow so fast. Looking at him today I realized just how true those words are. I LOVE MY SON So the next time your son or daughter comes in and asks you to dance, Take just a moment to develop a memory so powerful that just thinking about it will overflow your heart with joy. I have three children, Elijah, Lyric and Patrick. From a very young age we encouraged each of our three children to play a musical instrument. Now many years later I listen to them play and it SOOTHES MY SOUL. My oldest son Elijah plays a variety of instruments but the prominent one is his trombone. whenever I listen to him play and watch his facial expressions, I light up with pride . Elijah plays his music straight from memory. He composes and arranges all of his own music. My daughter Lyric plays the flute. At first the prospect of practicing this flute was something she sincerely dreaded. But now as I listen to her play tune after tune I think of sitting in the yard with my grandma in North Carolina. Again the memory is one of great joy and the playing of the flute takes me back to a time in my life when I was so child-like and free. My youngest son Patrick plays the trumpet.
