Lashon Campbell talks about the day she found out that her husband Patrick needed back surgery!

THANKFUL FOR MY FAITH

HAVING FAITH WHEN YOU RECEIVE SHOCKING NEWS HELPS KEEP THINGS IN PERSPECTIVE....

I always say that there is something very powerful in a persons personal testimony. That is why I am re-sharing this personal story that my family experienced...My husband Patrick had back surgery a couple of years ago and the entire sequence of events that followed changed our lives forever.......

ME AND MY HUSBAND PATRICK

Our relationship as a couple grew, our love for each other intensified and our relationship with God became UNBREAKABLE!!
I remember hearing the doctor say that Patrick would need back surgery..Slowly the words were beginning to resonate. I was listening but I could not react... All I could think about was how different our lives would be. I kept saying Lord I need your direction. I need you to lead us to make the right decisions today.

Patrick had a wonderful surgeon and I remember thinking he looks way to young to perform surgery on my husband. He kept repeating Minimally invasive spine surgery...How was spine surgery minimally invasive? I kept screaming NO NO.....

My husband was extremely calm and reminded me of my faith.... Of course, we all know that when there is a serious situation you have to fall to your knees immediately....That is exactly what I did!

You have to PRAY quickly because if you are not careful, fear can paralyze you!

remember how close my relationship with my husband grew. He needed me in every aspect of the word. I wrote a special prayer especially for him to repeat every morning. I wrote a special prayer for myself as I spoke to God about this great man.

During the diagnosis, the surgery and the rehabilitation there was times when we literally would just be still and stay in prayer. That is why I say personal testimony is powerful. My husband is healthy, strong and still has a personal relationship with God.

THANK YOU FATHER
