PRAYER FOR FINANCIAL BREAKTHROUGH

Most of us are struggling to pay the mortgage... Most of us are struggling to pay our children's tuition. We work hard and yet we are constantly coming up short.....
I submit to you today that all of that can change through the power of prayer and a positive attitude. I personally believe that prayer has changed the circumstances in our home.

I believe that communication, prayer and honesty within a marriage, is key to maintaining financial freedom.

Secrets tend to destroy a relationship.

So sit down today with your spouse and openly discuss all financial matters in your house. When you pray talk to God about your finances.

Here is a prayer that we use in our home.

Hope this can help to strengthen your family and enable you to be at peace concerning your finances:

PRAYER FOR FINANCIAL BREAKTHROUGH

Father God, you are the source of all my sustenance. So I come to you today in prayer and I pray for you to HEAR ME AND GUIDE ME in your infinite wisdom.

My spirit is full, but my wallet is always empty..I need your help Father. My finances are in crisis, and are causing me great pain.

Please UPLIFT MY HEART so that I may appreciate all that I do have so that I may also be blessed with more prosperity.

Money issues are bringing this family down, and in the past I am embarrassed to admit that I have not THANKED YOU enough for all that you have done for this family.

Please remind me of your abundance, REMIND ME DAILY so that my money can constantly flow into me and SUSTAIN ME as much as your loving care.

WATCH YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES CHANGE TODAY!!!

I know my life can change for the better and with each payday I have managed to save money and slowly get out of this hole that I created for myself. This post hit me smack dab in the face again!!! just what I needed!!

  2. Good morning to you Trisha, Again I am pleased that you found time to stop by my blog and post. I just read your comment and I am so thrilled that you have managed to keep saving as you originally planned. This has been such a tough year for so many and just knowing that in spite of the current economic situation you were able to continue your savings plan..Indeed that is a blessing. I never stop thinking about tomorrow, I guess that is why I am so frugal Trisha.
I pray that you will continue this path to "Financial Freedom" and I hope that you will keep me updated for I am sure all of the blog readers are anxious to see what theis journey will uncover....Until then God Bless and continue praying!!!

  3. Without even really being aware of it, I was beginning to get in a financial hole. My credit card bill was thru the roof. I recently started a new job and Lashon, I am committed to pay this card off. I pray and I also catch myself from falling into the same traps as before. Good article!

  4. Brittany..Be thankful for everything and count it all joy..I love that saying. Because as long as you fix the mistakes that you have made in the past, it takes away all your worries and gives you a chance to say THANK YOU FATHER for this experience ...Even though it was a tough time, you emerged even stronger than before Brittany.
Stay prayed up..Its the answer and Count it all Joy.

  5. My circumstances have changes since I gave my life to Christ and since I stopped being a slave to my MasterCard. I tore that card up and started saving. What a difference a year makes. If I can change my financial situation, anybody can. I always read on your blog that some people's testimony can help others. That is why I decided to share this with you Lashon. Maybe another military wife will see how we changed our financial outlook. Now we can save and really enjoy our time together without being so stressed all the time about credit card debt. It has helped our marriage to. I hope you share this comment Lashon to your readers. Thank you.

  8. 2012 is going to be a great .. There is a big difference between the things in which we WANT and the things we NEED..I try to tell my children this all the time as I remember growing up "without" all of the things they have now in 2012.. I am trying to teach them that "less is more" but it is truly hard in today's society.. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions that they would like to share with my readers. you never know when your testimony can help some one else. Have a wonderful week everyone!

  14. Right now, I am facing a serious finance crisis. I have prayed at least three years for a financial breakthrough for $25,000 to pay debts, home repairs and a new roof which is needed asap because I lost homeowner insurance so my mortgage has increased.

    1. Anonymous,
I wish that I was in a position to wipe away all of your worries..the only advice that I can offer is to do little things: I truly believe that the little things do make a difference in a positive way... Write letters to various home improvement companies in your area... Explain how your financial situation is at its worse and your roof needs to be fixed now...Hopefully there is a christian owner out there who will fix the roof and let you pay the balance down slowly..
Are you a member of a church? Churches usually rally together and take donations for members in their congregation that are having difficulties....Please go to your pastor and ask for help.
I have relied on the help of my church and also the kindness of strangers and can tell you by experience that it makes a huge difference...
I will continue to pray for a breakthrough for you...

      Please keep in touch

  18. Thanks for this site. I am currently in a scary situation. We paid off all of our credit cards years ago, but with the economy the way it is, my husband (self-employed) had to find a new job. The only trouble is that no one pays him what he's worth. We are struggling with making it from paycheck to less than paycheck. I don't understand what we are doing wrong or why we can't get a break. I'm going to try some of your tips here. Something has to happen soon.

    1. I feel your pain Anonymous,

The good news is....There is no direct correlation between wealth and happiness...Even though you paid off all of your credit cards you still find yourself in an additional struggle.
II have cut back in so many ways in our house. We live on one paycheck. I am staying at home and I clip coupons, down-sisized and cut out all things that were not essential. I find that we are happier now with "less things".

Let me know how things are going and continue to work hard at both your marriage and your present circumstances...

  23. Lashon; thank you for sharing your prayer! My husband & I have been in a financial whirlwind the last year. We don't have credit card debt, just a car payment and basic bills. Our basic needs are not being met and we've had to borrow. We find ourselves looking at God's word and wondering what we've done wrong. We've asked for forgiveness. We moved to another city that we knew not of out of obedience because God said, "Go". We've had nothing but financial difficulty since the move. It's been a year and my husband is just now finding employment (part-time at that), it took me 8 months to find a job and my salary is no where NEAR what we need to sustain our home and daycare expenses. I used to be a person of great faith but this place has had me in tears on a daily basis. I speak God's word back to Him and trying very hard not to lose hope. I will most certainly begin praying the prayer you suggested above in hopes that God will hear and answer my prayer as He has done so many times before. Thank you!

    1. Good morning Anonymous,

Its hard at first to take a leap of faith. Moving to a new city and starting over is definitely taking a leap of faith. There is always a struggle and you have to search deep within to make this work. Please keep praying!!!
I do not work and lots of people wonder how we are able to make it on one salary for a family of 5. I personally changed my way of thinking and put things into 2 categories: wants and needs. The things that we needed to survive took priority and all of the wants that I could do without, I did do without. No more movie nights, we use red box. I joined a group of women that share babysitting services. I clip coupons and I shop thrift stores. Sometimes you have to downsize in order to increase. This is my story and I pray that your circumstances with change starting today. I will be praying for you. Please keep me posted of your progress. God Bless your family.

  24. Good Afternoon Lashon,
I have just read your prayer to a financial breakthrough, I will be trying this out - do one have to pray it out loud?
We are really battling we have a business, and no business has been coming in now for the last 4 months, we pray every morning and evening, I asked God to forgive me if I have sinned, but still no breakthrough has come our way and this is making me very depressed!!!
So I will give this prayer a try.
    Thank you for sharing.

  25. I'm so glad I found this blog. I was just googling breakthrough prayer for financial difficulties.
I believe that my own desperate prayers are heard but I wanted to see what others say..
I am also a military wife.
my husband is in the air force.
It's been an adventure to say the least.
we just moved to Oklahoma city from Pennsylvania snd lost a huge chunk in housing allowance yet, rent is the same here. So we are seriously struggling to get by. :(
If you - even though we're strangers- could pray with us. I'd really appreciate it!
    Love your blog!!

    1. Good afternoon Anonymous:

I just read your comment and I want you to know that I will keep you in prayer. We are in different situations but I know exactly how you may be feeling. I have always been a private person but I had to swallow my pride and ask for help back then. We went to counseling and learned what was a necessity and what was not "Required".
I thank God that I listened and followed his lead, now I feel like I am wiser. Praying that you will be in a better place financially SOON!
