THE NAVY BALL 2011

Recently I attended my very first Navy Ball. When I tell people that they are really shocked of this fact. Maybe because my husband has over 20 years of service and I had yet to go to a Navy Ball.

I had the chance to met some new and interesting people and my husband was able to introduce to me to the countless men and women that he works with. I had a fabulous time.






I mean that I really did have a nice time. Believe me, I was  nervous at first but after a while I looked over at my husband and I knew I was going to be able to shake my nerves. He reached out and grabbed my hand...

Because these types of events are not my favorite, I find myself getting a little tense at these kind of events.
The night went well and we enjoyed ourselves and got lost in the beautiful music.

    Its amazing how some things generate total fear in us. I never wanted to go to the Navy Ball and I never wanted to have the presuure of finding something to wear. Now I see how foolish that was. I wish that over the years I would have went to more. But no worry I have lots of days left.
    Please feel free to post your story of going to a Ball for the first time. I would love to hear your stories.

    But all in all you still did it. Some of us have fears of spiders, heights and things, But there are others like you and myself that just do not do well in large crowds.
    There is nothing wrong with that. The good news is that you went and you tackled your fear. GOOD FOR YOU LASHON!!
