MY SON PATRICK PLAYS THE TRUMPET
I have 3 beautiful children. My oldest son is Elijah, then there is my daughter Lyric and then our youngest child, Patrick. Patrick is currently in the eighth grade. He plays the trumpet and each time I hear him play, I shed a tear. Why do I cry you ask? I cry because he truly enjoys playing it and it shows in every note that he plays. Seriously.....

We never have to force him to practice. He instantly picks it up and plays for hours at a time. When he first started playing in the third grade, he was less than enthusiastic (Smile) He wanted to play the drums. I mean it was all he talked about. His teacher at the time convinced him to try the trumpet. My baby tried it and with some slight hesitation began to play. From the very start we knew that he was gifted. All of my children have played instruments and learned at a steady pace. Patrick picked up the instrument and quickly learned all there was to know about his instrument like a sponge.

Now at the age of 13, our son Patrick is preparing to compete at the State and district level here in Jacksonville. 





My husband Patrick and I are so proud of all that he has accomplished this year. It is imperative that you allow your children to SHINE. When given the chance, they will discover their own passion.
