She is a hard working student that stays on the honor roll and is a member of BOTH National Honor Society and the French Honor Society. She is always reading a book and has made us such PROUD parents. She asked for a car when she turned 16 and we really wanted to get one for her. But we were teaching her a very valuable lesson about patience and working toward goals.  She had her Learner's Permit but had not yet took her drivers test. OH NO, I BURNED MY HAND  OK, As I get older I am slowly learning I don't now EVERYTHING! So I may never win any cooking awards with my culinary skills. I am actually not very good at all. (Smile) One of my favorite meals is baked chicken and the other afternoon I decided to prepare a baked chicken meal for my family.  It cooked PERFECTLY and was nice and golden. I reached in the corner drawer and got two hand mitts to take it out but there was only one in there. What? Where is the other one? I could not find it anywhere. So I put the one I could find on my right hand and just grabbed a regular kitchen towel off the counter. (BIG MISTAKE) I new immediately that I made the wrong decision because when I reached into the stove to grab the chicken, The top of my left hand sizzled on the coils of the electric stove. Horrible smell when flesh burns. Have you ever got a burn like this one? It scared me and It made me drop the chicken. WAIT...

Its a BEAUTIFUL day here in sunny Florida and I have the distinct pleasure of waving goodbye to my son Patrick as he heads to his school bus. I know what you are thinking...What is so excting about waving to your son?   (Smile) Well, I am I am pretty excited this morning because he is heading to High School. Yes, I am such a proud parent today. I am happier than ever that he has reached this new milestone. You see, Patrick is the youngest of our kids so I guess I knew I would have these feelings.
