TALKING ABOUT GOD AT THE BEAUTY SHOP

Good morning everyone. Thanks again for starting your day here at my BLOG. I wanted to share with you a wonderful experience I had at the beauty shop. I went to get my hair done BUT instead of just a haircut, I left feeling revitalized! I met a delightful little lady with a BEAUTIFUL message about GOD.  Her name was Sylvia and she was no more than 5 feet tall with a southern accent. She carried a leather Kings James Bible in one hand and her strawberry smoothie in the other. (Smile)

Sylvia told me that she was a retired teacher who loved her family AND enjoyed spreading the Gospel. Whenever I go to the beauty shop, I usually pass the time by typing notes into my phone. I constantly have random thoughts in my head so I usually try to put them on my notepad while they are fresh in my memory. So when this little lady started talking to me, it was a little distracting at first.  BUT THEN.... There was something about this little Lady that drew me in... Her calming voice made me want to hear more. So I put away my IPHONE and listened intently on her description of her relationship with God.

She told me that for many years she felt it was her calling to spread the word of God every chance she got. What a JOY it was to talk about God with a Lady who obviously has given her life to serve the LORD. There are many messengers in our life and sometimes its wise to STOP and listen to these rare souls that touch you in a way that lasts a lifetime. THAT SWEET LITTLE LADY Sylvia was one of those people...

I find a great deal of PEACE when I talk about the goodness of God and my talk with Sylvia made the time fly quickly. It seemed as if it was only the two of us sitting there engaged in conversation. It was mesmerizing to say the least. She was little in stature but possessed a spirit so big it etched in my memory. Have you ever met someone like Sylvia? If so, I would love to hear similar stories that you may have. Until then, I love you all and I will be praying for you.

I would love to hear from you here at the blog. Send me an email, or leave a message in the comment section.
