I have been BLOGGING now for 3 years. WOW, time sure does fly when you are honestly doing something that you enjoy. I want to take a moment to personally thank each and everyone that follows me here at my blog. Your support means more than you know. I remember that in the beginning I did not know what to write. I constantly just wrote a paragraph about what I was doing and that was it. Talk about boring. I did not have many people interested in what I was saying. You know that was not important to me. I decided to start blogging when my husband Patrick accepted orders to Guantanamo Bay Cuba. I did not realize at the time that those orders were isolated duty.

It was fun and exiting writing about that beautiful place. When I first arrived there I was lonely and I missed my extended family back in the states. It was like a form of therapy to write about that beautiful paradise. I always felt better each time I wrote a blog entry. It was quite therapeutic and brought me a lot of peace.

In the beginning I got a lot of negative emails and comments from readers that just did not have the same vision that I had. Clearly I was not popular with them. I realized early on that this was MY Blog and its about me and my own PERSONAL experiences. I was sharing a part of my life not for acceptance BUT rather to share insight from a military spouses point of view to help others. It seemed like such a simple thing at the time. The best thing I drew from the negativity was...At least it started a healthy conversation. That for me was worth every comment and every email.

I never let the critics discourage me back then because I was just to determined. I sat and I prayed about it and knew what I had to do. 
That's exactly what I did and my readers are always honest with me.

My goal three years ago was to share my experiences, share my love for the Lord and find ways to bring my family closer together. The great news is that I was able to accomplish all of those things and so much more. I am so grateful for all of my blog readers because you made me want to do better and raise the bar with every post. I NEVER gave up and that's
because the support of all of you kept me going (Smile)

Thankful for my 3 kids that inspire and encourage me on a daily basis. I am so proud that God chose me to be their mother.
