A LETTER TO MY THREE CHILDREN: PATRICK, ELIJAH AND LYRIC


                                   I LOVE WRITING LETTERS

THERE IS SUCH JOY IN BEING A MOTHER....IT IS THE HARDEST JOB YET THE MOST REWARDING JOB I HAVE EVER HAD.... I NEVER IMAGINED I WOULD EVER HAVE A TASK SO GREAT AS TO HAVE THE LIVES OF 3 CHILDREN IN MY HANDS...I THANK YOU FATHER FOR MY LIFE AND I THANK YOU FOR THESE GIFTS.....I AM SO BLESSED TO HAVE THEM AND I WANTED TO TAKE A MINUTE TO REFLECT ON THE LOVE I HAVE FOR MY BABIES... I HAVE THREE CHILDREN. MY SON ELIJAH 19, MY DAUGHTER LYRIC 14 AND MY YOUNGEST PATRICK IS 12....THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL

DEAR ELIJAH, LYRIC AND PATRICK:
WHEN I WAS YOUNGER I HAD DREAMS OF TRAVELING THE WORLD AND BEING FREE. IT WAS ALL ABOUT ME, ME, AND MORE ME....THAT WAS UNTIL I LOOKED INTO EACH ONE OF YOUR EYES AND FELT A LOVE SO AMAZING THAT CHANGED ME FOREVER...BEFORE YOU ENTERED THIS WORLD, GOD PUT YOU IN MY HEART....... I MEAN THESE WORDS.... I AM SO HUMBLED BY THE LOVE WE HAVE AS A FAMILY.... I AM SO PROUD OF EACH OF YOU AND I AM SO PROUD TO BE YOUR MOTHER. YOUR FATHER AND I HAVE RAISED YOU TO HONOR YOUR PARENTS AND TO LOVE AND SERVE GOD....I PRAY THAT YOU WILL HAVE COMPASSION AND LOVE FOR OTHERS AND RESPECT AND LOVE YOUR BROTHER AND SISTER IN THE PROCESS.

    Although our children learn a great deal through direct teaching, they learn much more by watching us. This is why we must be careful in everything we do...So since we have a long weekend..Let's take some extra time and just hug our kids... Spend the whole day completely focused on them... Turn off the cell phones, turn off the computer, turn off the TV and the radio.... Read a book if you have little ones. Talk with your child play scrabble or something....If your child has a game go to it and leave the phones behind....They are what's really important.Thank you Lord for holding all 3 of my children in your loving hands. (SMILE)

    Jennifer, Yes they are a blessing. I really miss my oldest son Elijah. He is still in florida but I try to spend as much time as I can with my other two. Seriously, You look up one day and they are not babies anymore.
