Exactly one month ago today I posted a story on my Facebook page asking for prayer. I asked for all of my readers to say a prayer because my youngest son Patrick was auditioning for entrance into the prestigious DOUGLAS ANDERSON SCHOOL OF THE ARTS.

                                             THIS IS WHAT I POSTED:

"I ask that each of you will say a prayer or leave a word of encouragement in the comment section to our youngest son Patrick. He auditions today for Douglas Anderson School of the Arts. We are so PROUD of him and all of his Achievements." We received a lot of positive emails, phone calls and posts giving Patrick such inspiring words of LOVE and of encouragement.

TRUMPETS 2014

We were so excited about the prospect that maybe he would get accepted. We went to the auditions and there were so many talented kids there. I said a prayer for him and we waited with anticipation. I sat there as Patrick left and went to his audition. Boy was I nervous!
Now, almost four weeks later we get the news that we have been waiting for. Our baby boy Patrick has been accepted to the school of Performing Arts. Our son the trumpet player was just so excited...WAIT! So was his mama!

He worked so hard to get into this school and now I am so excited about the road that he is about to embark on. He is such a special kid and has such a HUGE HEART. This kid! I have had a really tough few weeks and have not felt my best. I made every rehearsal and saw my baby boy perform in All-District band. When I was feeling bad he sat with me and he made me food and insisted that I rest. Maybe no big deal to some. BUT I as his mother recognize that the goodness in his heart can only be contributed to the foundation that his father Patrick and I established when he was just a baby boy. I love him so much!

We are so proud of him and AGAIN, I ask for prayers for our son. Take a moment and say a prayer for our family. We know that this is not going to be easy. Through prayer we know that we can handle this new challenge. ITS JUST SO EXCITING! I would love to hear from you. Has one of your children recently achieved a major milestone?
