My daughter LYRIC is choosing the right College for her

http://mycrazylifeasanavywife.blogspot.com/

As most of you know, We have a 17 year old daughter named Lyric. She graduates from high school in just a few weeks and is deciding which college she will attend. We are excited, happy, sad and filled with JOY all at the same time. WOW, my baby has grown up!

She has always been so determined
and focused in everything that she
does. Now my baby girl has to make
the biggest decision of her life.  She
has to make a FINAL decision and
decide which one of the scholarships
that she will accept.

She had 5 colleges that she really was focused on. God is so good. Our beloved Lyric was then accepted at all of them. Next, She just waited for the many offers to come in. Each day she ran to the computer and ran to the mailbox to see what was in store for her. She received so many offers and her father and I gave her our opinions on each one. In the end we let her decide the place she would be for the next four years. She is after all a young adult!

Her choice was Florida Agricultural And Mechanical University (FAMU) and she has a full scholarship including meals. We are so grateful to God for being an integral part of our lives. It is because of him that we receive all of these blessings. As our daughter gets ready to start this process, we ask for your continuous prayers for her success and well-being.

As you can see I already have my shirt and I am ready to support my baby girl in this important milestone. What about you? Is one of your children leaving the nest this year? If so, I would love to hear about it here on the blog. Make sure that you give your son/daughter the attention and support they need. Until then, I will be praying for you.

I would love to hear from you here at the blog. Send me an email, or leave a message in the comment section.

  1. I love my baby girl and its amazing how fast time zooms by. We as parents have very little time to give them love and guidance. We pray as parents that we raise them to be intelligent and responsible adults. Today I am so proud to say that my little girl is just that...intelligent AND responsible. God Bless you all.

I had to take my son to college last year and it was by far the toughest hing I did as a mother. he is my one and only and home is just not the same. Its a lot more quiet and I miss having him around. Did I mention I am a single parent and that I have raised him by myself. I am proud of him just like you are proud of your daughter, I find so much inspiration from this blog right here.

  3. That beautiful young Lady is destined for greatness. She has such great parents. Yes Indeed; there's nothing like family; especially a family with so much love for one another. Its apparent that you and your husband put God first when raising your children.
