Have you ever felt like you were standing still in time? It happened to me this morning. I was watching old home movies of the kids and I focused in on one of my favorite. It was video of my youngest son Patrick playing baseball when he was younger.

Just for a moment a caught a glimpse of him waving at me. He was smiling and laughing so beautifully. I remember when he started playing baseball he was not as good as he hoped to be. There was not much smiling and it seemed more like a chore to him. He felt discouraged at first, but I reassured him that what seemed like unending work would turn to lots of fun.

For weeks he felt like he was going nowhere and was not moving forward. I prayed with him and explained that even though practicing seemed endless this to would pass. He felt like he was going nowhere. Sound familiar? Even though you are going through tough times right now, God reminds us that we can and will move forward.






Do not give up. Any type of progression that you are making is movement. No matter how small. You have to believe that. Even though you may not see it today, Progress is steadily unfolding. Please hold on and Do not declare failure.

Just like I told my son, Do not throw down that bat just yet. Do not declare failure my son. Keep putting one foot in front of the other and keep moving forward.

    Today may be tough for you, If you can, Lay your burdens at the feet of Jesus. Whatever they may be! do it now. He'll lift you up. He will get you through any storm. you will find the peace you are seeking in him.
