MAKE THAT CALL
My life today is filled with wonderful memories and the love from my family. My daughter came down from college and when she walked in the door she looked exactly like my deceased mother. She is the striking image of my mother and I am reminded of all of the wonderful memories I shared with her. Not feeling sad about those memories, I actually feel a tremendous amount of joy because my daughter and I are making memories of our own.

I smile when I remember my mother and sometimes it hits me extremely hard. How about you? Have you lost a loved on? If you have, you know that some days are better than others. Some days I wish that I could call her and hear her voice again. Today I have her in my heart and her memories keep me motivated with my own kids.
That is why when my kids are away, I call, text or I face time them. I need to hear their voices. I feel so blessed to be their mother. I really mean those words. I love those unexpected calls. I love hearing about whats going on in their lives. Though my daughter is away at college, I make her experiences a part of our conversations. My oldest son Elijah is now 25. I ask myself, where did the time go? He lives in Atlanta. He is my oldest and he is always busy. Well, That is what he says. We constantly text and I talk to him a few times a week. I make it a priority to mail him letters as well. I want for him to know that though he is away, he is missed here by me. And then there is my baby boy Patrick who is becoming a man. His favorite words are...OK MA! He gets most of my attention because he still lives here with me. There are never to many "MOMMY LOVES YOU PAT". I shower him with my love and attention. He will graduate from high school and he will turn 18 this year. So time moves so quickly. You have to let those you love know it. Say it loud and say it often.

So grateful that my daughter still calls regularly. I miss her being away at college but we find time each week to stay connected.
If your mom is alive tell her daily how much you love her. If you have a relative or friend to call today, don't put it off another day. Today I want for you to make that call. I want for you to trust and believe that you can do it. Trust and believe that connections are important. Trust and believe in God. MAKE THE CALL TODAY.
"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." Revelation 21:4
This is my prayer for each and every one of you today. God Bless you all.
