Proud of my son Patrick Campbell. He will be performing in the brass quintet at the Jacksonville Icemen Hockey game!

MY CRAZY LIFE BLOG
BY LASHON CAMPBELL

Proud of my son Patrick performing in the brass quintet at the Jacksonville Icemen Hockey game! I recently had the pleasure of watching my youngest son Patrick play his trumpet performing the national anthem in front of a sold out crowd of 15,000 + people for the Jacksonville Icemen vs. Orlando Hockey game! It was a nice chance to see him do something different. He had never performed at a sports game before.

I told him how proud I was of him and we headed out. I had a moment of reflection. The whole time I was thinking about the first time I heard him actually play his Trumpet in front of an audience. It was 9 years ago when he was in the third grade. I do believe that trumpet was bigger than him. He did a great job all those years ago and tonight he also did a great job.

This kid is an amazing example of humility and hard work. He works so hard and he loves playing that trumpet. I am so amazed at him and all of the kids that performed in the brass quintet tonight. Saying a prayer for all the children out their that are committed to the Arts.

Do you have any children that play Instruments? If so, I would love to hear from you. I Hope that you are encouraging them every step of the way
