Tallahassee here we come! My son Patrick has his much anticipated music audition at FSU! That's right we have ANOTHER road trip for the Campbell family. Excited to spend time with my son Patrick and experiencing this important milestone. So grateful to God that I haven't missed any of his major musical events up to this point. Thank you father!

I sat here watching him arrange music this morning and I started to cry. Why was I crying? (Just because) He just makes me so proud. His commitment to his music leaves me speechless and I am ready once again to support him along this journey.
Wow FSU here we come again. We were just up there at FSU a few weeks ago because he was selected to participate in the Tri-State Band Festival. It was awesome. He played his Trumpet so eloquently. I had such a great seat up front and was able to see and hear every note that was played. So Tallahassee here we come! No problem. Back on the road we go.

There has been so much going on here since this school year started. Its his senior year and we have so much to do. Between work, school, chores and worship, his schedule is very busy. It is busy but in a good way. He knows that all of this hard work will eventually pay off in the end. I get so excited when I see his face light up.
Mention Jazz and it transforms him to another dimension. (Smile) He is really beginning to relax before performances and I am so proud of how far he has come. He is slowing down enough to refuel. I tell him everyday how important it is to refuel his spirit each day with prayer and the word of God. These are the things that keep you going. He finally gets it!

As we get ready to make this road trip, I will spend a few moments alone with my son. During this time we will make time for the Lord. It’s the least we can do for Him considering all He has done for us. Look at all the blessings that my son has endured. Just for a minute we sat and eliminated the noise. We had a few moments of peace and quiet. That is what keeps him focused and keeps this family together. What about you? Do you have a senior in high school that has a music or dance audition? If so, I would love to hear from you in the comment section. Until then, I will be praying for you.
