Sometimes as parents we feel helpless and then God reminds us that he has it all under control! I have three children and one of them, my daughter is in college. She lives in Tallahassee Florida. I guess its about three hours away. I love and miss her so much but I know that she has a good head on her shoulders. My daughter has so much on her plate. Working, student government, her Sorority and studying. She spends most of her days away from her apartment and usually shrugs in after dark. That is where I worry. A beautiful young girl coming home at night but she assures me that she is strong and able to handle anything that comes her way. She said mom I got this, I told her no. God has it. (Smile)

Well, recently her apartment was robbed and as her mother I wanted to be right there beside her in Tallahassee. Trust me if she was here in Jacksonville I would of been able to get to her right away. Bottom line is the items that were stolen from the apartment can be replaced. But my precious daughter Lyric cannot be. I prayed really hard that day. Not for things that I wanted, but for all of the things that I already had. Lyric has two other people that live in the apartment and the other two roommates were not at home at the time of the robbery. Thank God. But I was still quite nervous about all of their safety. Now that I have seen her and held her in my arms I am OK. I just had to see her for myself.

I truly was a wreck that day until I was able to actually touch her and know in my heart that she was alright. My three kids are my everything and Lyric is one of the three pieces that hold my heart in place. I am sharing this story simply to say be grateful for all of the special people in your life.  Love them daily, show them that they matter and let them FEEL love from you all the way to their soul.  Tomorrow is not promised so make each day matter.
