Arturo Sandoval and Keith Fiala performed in the 2018 Jazz Fest in Jacksonville Florida and still found the time to make a young Trumpet player's day!

Good morning everyone and welcome back to my blog. Today I was sitting here writing my son Patrick a letter. I was thinking about Arturo Sandoval and Keith Fiala. Both Arturo Sandoval and Keith Fiala performed in the 2018 Jazz Fest here in Jacksonville Florida and although they both were extremely busy, They still found the time to make a young Trumpet player's day! And that young trumpet player was my son Patrick. He just started the summer bridge session at FSU and I miss my baby boy already. Before he left Jacksonville, he jammed with the Douglas Anderson Jazz 1 Band at the 2018 Jazz Fest. He was happy and he loved the entire night. He told me that the absolute best part of the whole experience was that he was able to meet the great Arturo Sandoval. He absolutely loves this guy and to this day he still talks about that life changing experience.

He was actually counting down the days until Arturo was coming to Jacksonville. My son Patrick loves very few things. I know that he loves Jazz music, playing the trumpet and Arturo Sandoval. That's about it (Smile) Arturo Sandoval is one of the greatest Trumpet players of all time. My son studies hard and works even harder and knows that he has to put the work in so that he can one day shine. I am so proud of this kid. If you look closely, the first picture is of my son Patrick with one of the greatest Trumpet players of all times, Maestro Arturo Sandoval. He was able to meet him after a phenomenal performance at the 2018 Jacksonville Jazz Fest.

This photo is of Keith Fiala. This guy is awesome. He is the most innovative and versatile trumpet players and educators and clinicians on the music scene today. He found the time to talk with my son as well as taking this photo with him.You see son, dreams do come true! I just want to take a moment to thank Arturo Sandoval and thank Keith Fiala for taking the time to talk with my son and taking these pictures. My son will treasure these pictures and that moment forever. Arturo Sandoval is really one of a kind.
