 Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog. Today I wanted to talk about the VA Hospital in Gainsville Florida. It was my first encounter with this hospital and I did not know what to expect. I had to spend two weeks there and It was such a breathe of fresh air. Let me be the first to tell you that this VA Hospital is awesome. I had my own room and was treated with dignity and respect in every area.

Every encounter that I had from my primary care doctors to specialty, dietary, housekeeping and even the volunteers has been exceptional. I was really scared being far away from home but the staff was phenomenal and the place runs so well. I was so impressed how the staff kept saying "Thank you for your Service" and how everyone enjoyed their job. What a blessing to be surrounded by so many people with smiles and compassion.

Don't believe anything that read in the newspapers about VA Hospitals. This one by far is absolutely joy. If you have to go to a VA Hospital, this is the best choice. This is a great hospital with great physicians and a dedicated staff. Each person that I interacted with showed me respect and the highest quality of care. I am so proud to be a veteran and to be able to have such great medical care.
