I always say that I am a work in progress. I say that because I know that I am not perfect and I know that I am constantly learning and evolving. This is so apparent with my three children. My three kids are the light of my life as you know. I try to share as much as possible as I can with with my readers so that you understand how much I love them.

Lately I have been thinking how empty the house is getting. My oldest son Elijah has moved to Atlanta. My daughter Lyric is in summer session at FAMU college about to start her senior year. My youngest son Patrick is in the summer bridge program at FSU college in Tallahassee. Boy, I sure do miss them. I love them so much and I am surrounding them with both my love and with my actions.

I am 48 years old and you know what, this has been one of the best years of my life. I feel stronger and more sure of things like never before. Never once did I doubt the love that my kids have for me and today with the help of my children, I am learning how to be a better parent. What a great feeling that is and I thank God for this wonderful, peaceful feeling this morning.

This world is unpredictable and I don't know what tomorrow holds for me. But today, I know without a doubt that my three children love me. They have taught me so much and looking back it was not easy but it truly was eye opening. Through the years my kids have taught me compassion, patience and love to name a few. That is the beauty of having children, Somehow through all the madness they ALWAYS love without any restrictions. That is a great and beautiful thing that they possess.

My three kids Elijah, Lyric and Patrick have been teachers to me through the years. Year after year they teach me the meaning of love wholeheartedly. Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. Remember that the greatest power of being a parent is not only teaching our children BUT also in showing them through example. I start each day telling them that I love them and I show them that love in my everyday actions.
