Hello and welcome back to my blog. So glad that you chose to come back once again. Today I want to talk about positive ways to move forward after a divorce. Divorce can be devastating for families if you let it. I decided from the beginning that my attitude and actions had to always be uplifting. I worked hard to overcome the challenges and use that difficult experience as an opportunity for growth.

First thing I did was sit my children down and talk to them. I did an age appropriate talk with all three of my kids. You have to keep reminding them that they are not the cause of the separation. As adults its our job to keep things in proper order. Not many couples are willing to be civil at this time but its absolutely imperative for your kids well being. We both loved each other and we worked as hard as we could from the ground up. We had happiness, tears and wonderful memories. That is how we worked to keep our kids focused.

As a divorced couple you have to be patient with each other and put raising your children first. We are the adults and we must act accordingly. Do not allow the stronghold of what was, keep you from what is clearly destined for each of you. Many divorced couples go on living with negative strongholds from their marriage and then allow that mentality to make further poor choices. Come on people, No more. Love yourself and your children enough to make better choices. Starting today let's lift our former spouses up instead of tearing each other down. I encourage you to find ways to encourage and support each other. Focus on being positive role models and deepen your relationship with God. Allow God to step in and remove your doubts and insecurities and replace them with the truth of His Word.

Thank you Father for giving me my new and improved life. Thank you father for showing me that I was strong all along this journey. No no no I'm not crying over anything that is finished father. I have moved on and moved forward in my life. I am happy and my kids are happy. I thank you father for teaching me how to love myself and about self-worth. Today I am STRONGER than ever before. What about you? Are you getting stronger after your divorce? If so, I would love to hear all about it right here in the comment section.
