Good Morning everyone and welcome back to my page. Today is my birthday and I want to share this day with all of you. I love you all and feel as if you are all a part of my family. Today I’m 50. Yes 50 years old. This has certainly been a strange, powerful, painful, joyful and difficult year. So much has happened and yet I am still standing. After my numerous surgeries and hospital stays I wasn’t sure if I would be able to laugh smile or find joy again. But through all the hard times and through all of the moments of darkness I found my way back to the surface.

I found joy in my church family. I found joy in the milestones no matter how small. I found joy with my children and through it all I constantly searched my soul to find the goodness in God and my purpose in life. When you turn 50 it's a time of great reflection and I have learned this year how to nurture my God given talents and gifts. We all have them, you just have to dig deep inside at the most amazing times.  This year I have traveled, I have laughed with my friends and family and reconnected with old friends. Each one of them have made this time memorable.

I smile today as I reflect on this journey. I have made some major personal breakthroughs and found love once again. I had to shed certain people from my life in order to get to where I am at right now.  I’ve never felt more empowered, blessed, intelligent and beautiful. Today at the age of 50, I feel sexy, creative and comfortable in my own skin. So I pray that everyone who reads my blog today finds comfort and power in my words. Sharing your story has amazing power. I truly believe that.
