I am happy with my new life!

Good morning everyone and welcome back to my blog. I wanted to say thank you to all of you that support me here. Today I want to talk about healing. When I was healing from my stay in ICU, I was so tired and worn out from the journey through hard things. I really was exhausted in more ways than one.

Each day I had visitors that took the drive up to Gainsville to check on me. It really filled my heart wit so much joy. I celebrated each new milestone as best as I could and then I would pray. I admit that I sometimes cried when no one was around. I felt so broke down. Unable to do all the things that I once did. I’d been cut deep... physically and emotionally. In my darkest moments I wondered when and if healing would visit me. I needed something to look forward to.

My kids came and they went and then they came back again. They were the ones suffering. their faces looked horrified. Seeing me with all of those tubes and all of those machines. I smiled whenever they came. There was no pity party at all. I didn’t have the time or the energy for that. I was simply frustrated at my slow progress.

Eventually, I had to make a decision to drown in my sorrow of all that wasn’t or see the possibility that a redefined life can still be good. Really good. And worth celebrating. I was alive after all and so many people cared about me. So I am still here. Today I am still standing. And today I have the gift of another day with my children. So I am happy NOW with this new life and this new body with all of its limitations.

I believe there is God in each and every one of us. I believe the Lord calls on us to act. And that when we do act, the Lord will give us the strength we need. So today I celebrate my journey here with you and to share my testimony as best I can. Remember, that your scars  are beautiful reminders that we survived. THANK YOU FATHER! Sending love to you each of you that reads this. We are all fighting some kind of battle so lets share our battles and our and hardships. All the while singing praise.
