2011 KHAKI BALL IN GUANTANAMO BAY CUBA

Good morning to all my blogger followers this morning...Wow, its a beautiful Day here in Guantanamo Bay...Had a wonderful time Saturday night at the 2011 Khaki Ball... We enjoyed the night with our wonderful friends and met some new ones in the process.

This year I decided to wear a pants outfit

( DID SHE JUST SAY SHE WORE PANTS TO A BALL? )

I know that wearing pants to a BALL is a  little nontraditional...

But for all those who know me understand that this Navy Girl has NEVER been one to be a follower.....(Smile)

I wore what made me comfortable... I encourage anyone who has an event to go to, To wear something that looks good and feels good as well.

To all my wives who are heading to your ball..
Please enjoy the night and make lasting memories.

PLEASE Dress respectively, represent your husband with respect and always say a THANK YOU.

Remember to be safe and NEVER DRINK AND DRIVE. GOD BLESS.

I have never been one to join the "Norm". I simply wore what I felt was presentable as well as comfortable.

  6. @Belinda.......I can not help but smile at the use of your words... My mother use to say I was a rebel...(smile) I have never been one to follow. I step out and try to do my own thing. I was actually going to wear a dress but later decided that comfort was more important. I am so glad that my story was one which interested you enough to stop by and share with my readers. Please feel free to come back anytime. Thanks for stopping by my blog Belinda!!!!

    1. Vickie,

I doubt if I was the first and most certainly not the last. I just wanted to be comfortable. My husband loved the outfit by the way. (Smile)

  8. This is not a formal ball. If you look up Khaki Ball, the dress is really casual and the "extreme" is a cocktail dress. Always dress to the uniform your spouse/sig other is wearing and khaki is a working uniform for Chief Petty Officers.
Have a great day! Love the pantsuit
