I wanted to write this note today because we all struggle with darkness......Do you ever notice how when someone turns the light out, you immediately feel a sense of anxiety and maybe even fear? Your mind begins to wonder and your fears and your anxieties start to surface. I submit today that the darkness gives rise to fear... ONLY FOR A MOMENT. You have to catch yourself quickly. Don't stay in the darkness too long..Shake it off, hold your head up and come out swinging. We associate darkness with the unknown and forget all about the teachings from the bible. Paul used the images of the light and dark to speak to us about the nature of God and of our faith. We have to believe in our hearts that "THE LIGHT" makes visible what may be hidden in the darkness. But if we spend time in the light of God's word, when we consistently SHOUT OUT WITH PRAISE of this continuous PEACE and PRAISE that God gives to us. Our spirit will continue to grow. We will continue to...

                    MAIL A LETTER OR A CARD TODAY I just may be one of the very few left that does this...I mail letters and cards to the people that mean the most to me. I guess because I have always been a writer this comes easy to me. Taking time out of your day to write down the words I LOVE YOU, I CARE FOR YOU, OR THAT YOU ARE MISSED, Touches the heart of a friend or family member. It has a deeper meaning to it than an email or a greeting on Face book. Sending greetings that way are fine...There is nothing wrong with that.....but the small effort to mail a card, that was chosen especially for them, will bring so much more happiness to the receiver... TRUST ME, It will show them that they are that special to you, and that you celebrate them from the deepest part of your heart....  TRYING TO ENCOURAGE MYSELF TO GET MOVING I HAVE BEEN IN GTMO CUBA FOR 10 MONTHS AND I HAVE STARTED WALKING TO GET IN SHAPE... BOY WAS I CLUELESS ABOUT EXERCISING.  NEEDLESS TO SAY, I STARTED OUT SLOWLY BUT NOW I HAVE INCREASED MY DAILY WALK TO 3 MILES A DAY. EVERY MORNING AROUND 5:00 AM I START WALKING WITH MY IPOD. THIS IS PERFECT FOR SOMEONE LIKE ME WHO STARTS SLOW BUT FINISHES STRONG!! I WILL KEEP YOU POSTED ON MY PROGRESS. I AM CONFIDENT THAT WITH A LOT OF HARD WORK AND DETERMINATION, I CAN DO THIS.   THANK YOU FATHER FOR GIVING ME THE STRENGTH EVERY MORNING TO DO THIS........
