Regardless of their age, find ways to spend time with your kids

Regardless of their age, find ways to spend time with your kids

I have 3 children. I have a son that is 22 and he no longer lives at home with us. Arranging alone time with him is like pulling teeth. (Smile) I also have a 17 year old daughter that is about to leave soon for college. She loves me enough and tries to fit me in between going to the mall and talking on her cellphone. (Smile) Our youngest son Patrick is now 15 and enjoys lots of things. Getting him to spend time with his mama is tough. If it involves PlayStation 4, trumpets or Jazz, its cool. Anything else is really not going to interest him.

Regardless of their age, find ways to spend time with your kids

Oh my friends, but you have to be creative. I do what I have to do to spend time with my baby. He loves Blizzards from Dairy Queen and I can always win him over with a trip there. So this mama decided to spend some alone time just with him. I love this kid so much and he is the very best of me and his father. What a treat to buy ice cream and sit and talk with him. He even managed to look up from his phone long enough to talk with me (Smile)

SCHEDULE ALONE TIME WITH YOUR KIDS

EVEN THE SMALL THINGS MATTER

BE PRESENT AND LISTEN TO WHAT THEY HAVE TO SAY

Most kids today get a bad wrap. People always say that they only care about materialistic things. I really do not agree with that. Some of this generations children long for family time and one on one time with their parents. They really do. There are countless kids right now alone at home wishing that their parents would be a part of their world. I guess The Campbell Family is old-fashioned because we still believe that quality time with your children is necessary, important, vital and unnegotiable! I used a lot of descriptive words there (Smile) I wanted to show how important this subject is for me. Please show your kids love and give them the attention that they crave.

Regardless of their age, find ways to spend time with your kids

  4. I believe in my heart that the time I am spending with them right now is making a difference in a positive way. I pray daily for them and thru prayer believe that their set time is coming. In the meantime, I tell them everyday to absorb the lessons God is teaching them in the bible. So proud of all 3 of my kids and can not wait to see what their NEXT is going to be.
