AN AFTERNOON THAT KEPT THE CAMPBELL FAMILY LAUGHING
Recently I took the kids over to River-city marketplace for lunch here in jacksonville. It was a beautiful Florida day and the sun was shining. I asked them where they wanted to eat and collectively we decided to eat our lunch at Five Guys Burgers and Fries...OK it was my son Patrick's turn to pick the restaurant.
(It was not my first choice)
But I still enjoyed my family time with the both of them...It was just too bad my oldest son Elijah could not join us.
LUNCH TIME WITH TWO
OF MY THREE CHILDREN
We ordered our food and then decided to eat outside. I mean, It was such a beautiful day. It was about halfway through eating our lunch when we heard a loud scream. The scream came from a distraught woman who was trying to catch her little poodle that somehow pulled away from her. The little poodle ran directly into the street and cars were coming in every direction. It was a scary sight. We all tried to help the little dog BUT he slid underneath a car at the stop sign. He refused to move and the driver was scared that she might run over the little dog.
Luckily the driver got out and they tried desperately to get him. This dog was quick but they were able to save this little fur ball from being injured or killed. Our heart was in the right place but we were ready to put our focus back on our food. It was time to eat! Well, We wanted to eat...While we were trying to save this little animal, birds were flying off with entire pieces of our burger and fries in their beaks. These birds left absolutely NONE for us. I hope those birds enjoyed my meal. (Smile)
The entire fiasco was a bit frustrating, but I had a good laugh in the midst of pure chaos. I am not sure what made me laugh more, the birds flying away with our lunch or the dog hiding under the car. It is days like this that I am most grateful for my kids. We had such a great time just spending time together.
I still found a reason to smile
THANKFUL AND HAPPY THAT I
