Congratulations son, This is only the beginning! I will try to get through this post without crying. Another day closer to by baby boy leaving going to college.
He is so excited and our mother/son talks are becoming more and more frequent as we prepare physically and emotionally for this transition to college life. This child of mine that hated playing his trumpet and wanted to spend time at the beach instead of doing his scales...Has developed a love for the Trumpet and now is headed to FSU College of Music. What a blessing. What a joy.

Unbelievable that my youngest son Patrick will be leaving for college in a few months. In my quiet times, God reminded me that my son will not be heading off to college alone, but that He will be with him every step of the way. Each day I am spending precious moments with my baby boy just talking about life and expectations. I told him how God has worked in my life and how he is STILL teaching me to live by faith. What an important conversation.
I reassured him that God would do the same for him. He does not need to worry. God has him in the palm of his hands. No need to doubt what he feels in his heart. The what If's will not defeat him because nothing can separate my son from His love. I am learning daily to rest in that. His departure will not be easy but my faith is preparing me for this big next!
