Good morning and welcome back to my blog. I want to take a few minutes just to talk about my maternal grandmother. She is no longer living. She was a huge part of my life and I miss her dearly. What about you? Is either one of your grandmothers or great grandmother still alive? And if so, What are your relationships with them? I would really like to hear about them.

My grandmother was everything to me. The matriarch of our family and the strongest woman I have ever known. She worked hard and raised wonderful kids and grandkids. She was soft spoken, stern and yet still gentle. She was the sweetest soul on earth. She was also incredibly smart.

She had a really small waist and really huge hips. A hourglass figure and was quite beautiful. She always made me feel important. When we talked she never interrupted me. She always just listened and always made me feel better. She loved and cared about everyone in her life.

I miss her every single day. I am not sad. I just feel blessed that I had that special time on this earth with her. I love and miss you Bernice Booker. Your patience, strength and your love made me who I am today.
