That double rainbow was my own personal blessing!
Good Morning everyone and welcome back to my blog. So glad that you joined me here today. As most of you know, I have spent the month of August in Gainesville. Not on vacation but in ICU fighting for my life.I had some really scary moments and the truth of the matter is, I scared my children. When I woke up in ICU there were so many people in the room and everyone looked so scared. I remember thinking, Oh God I am alone here. Within moments of praying my daughter Lyric walked in the room. She made me remember why I fight so hard.
Listen, God is so amazing. I woke up in the middle of the night and my baby girl Lyric NEVER left me. There are days when I was not conscious and there were days when I was not able to communicate at all. But I remember my baby boy Patrick flying in from Colorado. I screamed so loud and all of the alerts and monitors were ringing. I could go on and on about my three children, my fight to live and my struggle. BUT instead I want to tell you about August 23, 2019.
August 23, 2019 was the day that I left Gainesville VA Hospital. As I was being transported into the van, I looked up into the sky and was blessed to see a double rainbow. I had been in ICU and I constantly was praying. I was praying that God’s glory would show up for this fight. He answered me in so many ways. The staff, my kids, the chaplain, my church and this double rainbow. I tell you, Seeing those two rainbows reminded me of the love and faithfulness of God in fulfilling his promises. From waking up, standing up, walking and talking and even right now as I share this testimony with you all, God’s promises still stand. I am excited about my nurses and my Physical Therapists and I can’t wait to get back to sharing my love of God with all of you. Until next time, Remember, God is here and he’s giving us EVERYTHING that we need. He ALWAYS shows up.
What about you? have you recently gone through a difficult season? If so, i would love to here from you in the comment section. Until then, I will be praying for you.
I would love to hear from you here at the blog. Send me an email, or leave a message in the comment section.
